I was presented with a great opportunity to join an experienced and ambitious lender who wants to grow its presence in the bridging finance market, supported by an interesting mix of funding sources.
Sancus has access to institutional funding with Honeycomb Investment Trust and the Sancus Loan Note Program, a large pool of Sancus Co-Funders (private clients, family offices and HNWI) and also, its own proprietary capital.
Its dynamic, holistic view of lending, means it takes enquiries on a case-by-case basis and not by simply "ticking boxes". This energy and attitude really appeals to me and how I like to work.
Sancus has seen significant growth over the last year in its property development finance portfolio, and it is now time to push forward its bridging products to the market.
My main duty will be to make sure that brokers, introducers and partners are aware of our bridging proposition and how we can deliver for them and their clients. The business is relatively new in bridging finance in the UK market and there is some strong competition in the space, so getting the message across as to why use Sancus over others will be core. As an alternative lender, Sancus can move faster than traditional high street lenders with an emphasis on people-led decision making and one point of contact from initial enquiry. We understand a quick "no" is important for brokers and borrowers, if the deal is not a good fit for us and we like to issue indicative terms quickly if it is.
I'm really looking forward to working with the Sancus teams, in the UK as well as Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar. I am also excited about re-connecting and making new contacts in the broker and intermediary space.
