An Interview with Jack Goguelin

What do you do for Enness Global Mortgages?

I am responsible for looking after our clients and contacts in Jersey. I regularly meet with introducers of business to talk about what we are doing in the marketplace, what we are seeing in terms of new business trends and where we expect things to move in the future. The current period of 'lockdown' has made it impossible to meet people in person, so technology has played a big part in staying connected. That being said, I am looking forward to getting out of the office and meeting people again in the coming weeks.

What do you love most about your role?

I like to get away from my desk. Meeting people is a big part of what we do and is the best way to build trust, which is important when you are dealing with something as important, and often technical, as an individual's finance arrangements. I also enjoy solving problems. When a client comes to me with something that is deemed non-standard or complex, I like getting to the bottom of the issue and finding a solution that works for them.

Why did you join PCD?

PCD Club is a great way to market our business and to meet other industry professionals. We are all so busy nowadays and it's often difficult to tie people down. The PCD Club events provide an opportunity to catch-up with people you may not have seen for some time.

Which PCD webinar are you next planning to attend?

The webinar on private aviation looks interesting. It's such a luxury sector and you often meet interesting people when dealing with luxury assets.

Watching football (when allowed) and enjoying good food.
